Bright Lights: Youth Arts Exhibition 2024

This exhibition is part of Bright Lights: Youth Arts Festival 2024

Bright Lights is our annual youth arts exhibition showcasing some of the most exciting artwork by young people in Washington and the greater Sunderland area.

This is an exciting opportunity for 11–19-year-olds to submit artwork for display in Arts Centre Washington’s main gallery.

The exhibition is curated by the Celebrate Different Collective, a group of young people aged 13-25 from across Sunderland who, with support from Sunderland Culture, co-produce and run their own cultural events, work with artists and learn new practical skills.

The group have decided that this year they wanted the theme of Bright Lights 2024 to be about identity and who you are: Bodies, Brains, Big Issues and Bits.

Please also make time to visit the Bright Lights: Young Wildlife Photographer Exhibition which is on display at Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens until Saturday 30 March.

Bright Lights Youth Arts Festival is supported by Sunderland City Council’s Washington Area Committee as part of our Creative You Project.
