Join Sunderland Culture’s Young Ambassador Team as they take over Arts Centre Washington for the night.
This free event for young people, explores the themes of body positivity and identity through specially commissioned artworks made by professional artists, performances, music and an exhibition. There will be things to experience, see, do, take part in, think about and of course, CELEBRATE.
This event is all about learning to be proud of who YOU are as a young person, embracing your differences like super powers and celebrating those differences with other young people.
Tickets are free – but pre-bookable.
Suitable for ages 11yrs+ and young people under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
This is also a great opportunity for you to find out more about Sunderland Young Ambassador Team, see them in action and find out how YOU can get involved in the future.
Celebrate Different has been designed, programmed and ran by the Sunderland Culture’s Young Ambassador Team after they took part in Helix Arts Make Art Happen Sunderland. This team of young people aged 13-25years old from across Sunderland are united on a mission to get their voices heard and to inspire other young people across Sunderland. This project has been developed thanks to the support of Hays Travel Foundation and Culture Bridge North East Partnership Investment Fund.
