Citywide Culture Conversation

7 February 2020

2-6pm/ National Glass Centre, Sunderland

Sunderland Culture are excited to be hosting our first Citywide Culture Conversation for
2020.

The event will be an opportunity for the cultural community of Sunderland to get together to share our plans for 2020 and network. We’ll also be joined by a fantastic keynote speaker, writer and academic Lynsey Hanley, who will be speaking powerfully about place, culture and class.

A key part of the event will be the opportunity for culture and heritage organisations and groups, and individual creative practitioners to do a five-minute lightning talk about what they’re working on in 2020. This can be a project update that you’d like to share, an idea that you’re working on or a provocation for the room. We have 10 spaces to fill at this first event.

We also have bursaries of £50 available for creative practitioners or freelancers from the heritage or cultural sectors who wish to do a lightning talk, to enable them to attend the conference. Please indicate whether you would like to claim this bursary on the online form, using the link below.

To express interest in presenting a lightning talk, please fill in this form.

The deadline for submitting an expression of interest in presenting a lightning talk is 4th January 2020.

Full details of the event programme will be announced soon but tickets are available online,
