Climate Action Day

Saturday 12 March, 10am – 3.30pm

Join us for a day of talks, workshops and information stalls to raise awareness of climate change and what we can all do to help Sunderland become carbon neutral by 2030.

  • 11am-12.15pm: Climate Protest Poetry with New Writing North
  • 12.45pm-1pm: Performance by Sunderland Music Hub’s Green Choir
  • 1.30pm-3.30pm: Planet Pledges with Artist Louise Underwood
  • 3pm-3.30pm: University of Sunderland Environmental Society Protest

This event is part of the learning programme for the exhibition Where There’s Space to Grow and is supported by the University of Sunderland’s Environmental Society, Sunderland Music Hub and New Writing North.

Where There’s Space to Grow is the fifth in Sunderland Culture’s series of Arts Council Collection National Partners Programme exhibitions and is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
