CONNECT: Cultivating a Growth Mindset with Mortal Fools

Most of us will recognise telling ourselves, “I can’t…” or “I’m not…” from time to time, but what many of us might not realise is how this type of self-talk diminishes us, undermines our confidence in our own work and creative practices and reduces our ability to respond to challenges with innovation and creativity.
In this practical workshop led by innovative theatre company Mortal Fools, you will learn:
- What is a Growth Mindset and how it compares to a Fixed Mindset
- How Mindset manifests when we are working
- Practical ways to cultivate a growth mindset in yourself and when working with other
As with all of Mortal Fools’ training, CONNECT uses a unique combination of practice from the creative sector and theory, practice, and research from the social sciences to lead participants through a practical training process of identifying personal strengths, increasing knowledge, and developing new skills.

Due to our funding conditions, this workshop is only available to individual creative practitioners who live, work or study in Sunderland or creative/ heritage organisations and creative businesses who are based in Sunderland.
