Crafting a Character/Persona Workshop

Saturday 10th of April, from 11am, Free
With Bonnie and the Bonnettes

*** Rearranged date ***

Join Bonnie and The Bonnettes’ Hattie Eason for a session all about creating your very own persona. Be it drag queen, drag king, or a character you’re currently writing. Hattie will be guiding you through some of the steps Bonnie and The Bonnettes take when developing new work, and creating new personas. This session aims to be inclusive of young people identifying as LGBTQI+

Bonnie and The Bonnettes are a theatre company and drag trio based in the North East, who create theatre and cabaret work which tours Nationally. They like it when audiences laugh. They like it when they think. They really like it when they do both at the same time. Their work is loud, fun, and unapologetic.

Suitable for ages 13+

This event is part of the learning programme for the Bright Lights Youth Arts exhibition inspired by themes in the Paint the Town in Sound exhibition at Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens. Visit Paint the Town In Sound | Sunderland Culture to find out more.
