Creative You Junior… Animated!

Join animator Sheryl Jenkins to create your own animated stories and develop your filmmaking skills for children aged 8 – 10 years.

You’ll learn about different animation techniques, design your own characters, use apps to animated them, and add your own voices and sound effects to bring them to life.

On the final day we will screen the films on our big cinema sized screen. You can take away any artwork you make during the workshops to continue your filmmaking ideas at home. A copy of your film will be made available after the sessions.

Equipment is provided, but if you want to bring along your own phone or tablet to work with, you can. Make sure you install any apps that you’ll need. Free animation apps to check out include iMotion for iPad or iPhone, or Stop Motion Studio or FlipaClip for iPhone, iPad or Android devices.

Sheryl is a North East based animation artist and experienced tutor. Her animate work includes moving image content for theatre and television, commercial film work, and community projects.
