Design and Make Funky Sustainable ‘Street-Style’ clothing

Tuesday 16 August, 11am – 1pm
Free
Numbers are limited and pre booking is essential

Work with student tutor Naomi Austin to create your own street style graffiti garment with some eco-friendly spray paint, a plain piece of white clothing and your imagination.

We’ll provide the spray paint and stencils. You bring an old item of white clothing (T-shirt or similar) and then just go for it and have fun, whilst at the same time, doing your bit to save the planet by re-vamping your old clothes, instead of binning them. See how easy it is to get creative and be responsible and sustainable at the same time! Remember, we want to upcycle existing clothes so try not to buy anything new…!

This activity is aimed at young people age 12+ years who are interested in fashion and design and want to develop their creative skills. Young people under 18 years of age will need a parent or guardian’s permission to take part. Please fill in the consent forms here after you have booked your place.

This workshop is provided by the University of Sunderland as part of their Art & Design Degree Show, Emerge which runs until 31 August 2022.
