Getting to Grips with ACE Project Grants
Wednesday 14 October / 10am-12pm
Via. Zoom / 90 mins information session, followed by 30 minute Q&A
In this online session, Creative Producer Becci Sharrock will talk you through Arts Council England’s (ACE) Project Grants application form, with a focus on applying for under £15k.
Over the course of the workshop, Becci will share her advice on what information to include, how to structure your answers and how to make your application stand out, working through each of the main sections of the form, drawing on over 15 years of working in the creative industries.
This session is for anyone who has never applied for an ACE Project Grant or who has applied but without success. It will work best if you have a project in mind but can also be accessed as an introduction to the application process.
We would recommend that if you intend on applying that you set up a Grantium (the online portal used by ACE) profile in advance of the workshop so that you can familiarise yourself with the form in advance. More information on how to do this can be found here: https://www.artscouncil.org.uk/welcome-grantium#section-1. Please note, it can take up to 14 days to have your profile activated.
There will also be a chance for a follow-up 1-2-1 with Becci, if you need specific advice and support.

A note about Zoom:
Zoom is great for making content accessible but we know it can also come with its own challenges and anxieties. Please note Becci is more than happy for you to access it in whatever way works for you. All participants will be on mute on entering the workshop and if you prefer your video off, that’s fine and you are welcome to make use of the chat function at any point during the workshop. If you do have your video on, please don’t worry about kids/partners/pets in the background – it’s all part of the Zoom experience. The most important thing is that you can take part. If you have any access needs, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate these.
