Hone your Writing with Haiku

Wednesday 25 October, 10am-12pm, Free, Suitable for ages 11+

Learn how the practice of writing haiku poetry can help develop clear, concise and observation-rich prose. Kirsten will take you through the basics of writing modern English-language haiku sharing tips and techniques, then we’ll explore through readings and practice writing some of our own.

This two-hour workshop includes a ginko, which is a traditional Japanese haiku walk that helps develop your observational skills in order to discover and capture the magic of a haiku moment. We will be walking within the grounds of Arts Centre Washington rain or shine.
