Join us for a celebration of autumnal comfort grub that can be cooked and served in Sunderland Pyrex dishes!

Share your cosiest cold-weather recipes with us inspired by the season – think Apple Crumble, Panackelty and baked rice pudding.

Pyrex Recipe Cards

11am – 3pm 

FREE, drop in on Museum Street

Pick up a Pyrex recipe card featuring Ryan Riley’s favourite family recipes and enjoy making some cosy and comforting dishes for family and friends in Pyrex this Autumn/Winter season. Recipes include Nana Joy’s Christmas Stuffing, Apple Crumble and Panackelty.

Spooky Treat Plates

Bookable sessions from 10.30am – 11.30am and 12pm – 1pm

£2 per child or participating adult. Adults not decorating plates go free.

Work with artist Amy Carter-Taylor to create a glass plate decorated with spooky designs for your Hallowe’en treats. This activity is inspired by the Pyrex 100 project, celebrating 100 years since Pyrex was first made in Sunderland. Places are limited and must be pre-booked.

Pyrex Recipe Demo and Tasting with Life Kitchen

2pm – 3.30pm

FREE, drop in, in the Learning Space

Here’s one I made earlier! Join local celebrity chef and food writer Ryan Riley from Life Kitchen as he shares his favourite family recipes made in Pyrex dishes. There will be an opportunity to taste Ryan’s recipes and take home some new Pyrex recipes to try.

Please note – these recipes are not vegan friendly but alternative ingredients will be suggested in the demo. Full ingredients lists will be made available for the tasting activities.
