Paintings from Washington Village

Paintings from Washington Village and Arts Centre.

Work by artists who attend Watercolour and Oil Painting Classes at Arts Centre Washington with some work inspired by Cyril Lomax.

Cyril Lomax was a prolific amateur painter, World War 1 Army Chaplin and Rector at Holy Trinity Church, Washington Village. In October 2022, Washington History Society marked the 75th Anniversary of his death with an Exhibition celebrating his art and life.

This exhibition in upstairs in The Granary – unfortunately the room is only currently accessible via a stair case – the room is also sometimes used for private events so its worth checking ahead if you are visiting specially.
