Relaxed Family Session: 3, 2, 1…Paint!

Monday 17 February / 10.00am – 10.45am

FREE / Booking Essential

Recommended age: 4+

This session is designed for families with children with disabilities and/or additional needs including autistic spectrum conditions.

John Sheehy’s Music in the Frying-Pan Pub Brick Lane in the Sixties, which is featured in the Received Wisdom exhibition, has inspired the Learning Team to grab our paintbrushes and paint onto anything we can get our hands on.

Join us at 10am for some messy painting time! We’ll be painting self-portraits onto cardboard boxes, takeaway bags, maybe even the sole of a shoe. Expect to get messy – please wear appropriate clothing. Places are free, but please book in advance. Donations for materials gratefully received!

The event is part of the learning and engagement programme for Received Wisdom – An Arts Council Collection National Partners Programme Exhibition. Find out more about our Arts Council Collection partnership.

For more information please contact the Public Engagement & Learning Team on 0191 5612323 or e-mail [email protected].
