Screen Printing on Glass – FREE Course!
Are you a teenager, or a parent with teenage children?
This November we’re hosting a five-day course which will enable teenagers to learn the basics of Screen Printing on Glass – absolutely FREE of charge!
In partnership with The Creative DimensionTrust, this Screen Printing on Glass course is aimed at those aged 14-18 years and will offer a comprehensive introduction into the process of screen printing onto glass.
The course runs from Saturday 2nd November until 30th November 2019 and is based at National Glass Centre. Through a combination of demonstrations and practical application, working with artist Jade Tapson, you will learn how to select and design suitable imagery, prepare the screens for printing, and the process and techniques of screen printing on glass. You will apply these skills to create a series of prints using patterns, designs or images of your choice.
Jade Tapson Glass is a North East based artist specialising in the process of screen printing with glass powders and air entrapment. Her most recent work ‘Scale’ is currently touring around the United States as part of the Emerge 2018 exhibition. Her work explores the process of screen printing using glass powders and how this can trap air between layers of glass. She is largely influenced by the process of screen printing, whilst incorporating intricate geometric patterns and forms into her work.
