Sculptural Flameworking Weekend – Plant Forms

10am-4pm, Saturday and Sunday

Through a combination of demonstrations and free practice time, starting from basics we will build a vocabulary of flame working skills that will form a solid grounding to move forward using flame working as an art form.
Using Clear borosilicate Glass rods (PYREX) we will experiment and practice techniques making a number of sculptural forms and components on day one. Moving forward with our learnt skills on day two let your imaginations run wild and make your very own sculptural designs using components joined together to make larger scale abstract plant forms.
Work you make has to be annealed overnight, so you will have to come back to pick up your work, If you are unable to pick up your work please inform when booking and we can arrange postage of your items
Lunch Break 12.30-1.30 bring your own lunch or it’s advised to pre order your lunch in the restaurant.
