Content Notes: Most of the screenings are family friendly however there may be a couple of horror genre films which are presented in a comical way. We can give a fuller breakdown of the film content notes nearer to the time of the event. We would recommend the film programme for ages 12+ to adults.

The screening will have some adjustments to make it more comfortable for audiences who may be autistic, have learning disabilities and/or specific access requirements. Anyone is welcome to attend, so long as you are respectful towards audiences with a range of access requirements, including people who may need to make a bit of noise or movement during a film.

What to expect during this Relaxed Screening:

The lighting will stay on at a low level
The volume will be at a lower level
You are able to make noise or movement during the screening if you need to.
There is a chill-out space available if you need to take a break
The screening will not be full of people – there will be plenty of space in the cinema.
There will be friendly staff or volunteers on hand to help with anything you might need.
The film will be screened with captioned subtitles.
The screening is Pay As You Can and Carers and personal assistants get a free ticket.

Please note that for this screening:

Due to the sensory sensitivities of some of our guests, we do not recommend the screenings for children under the age of 2 years old.

The screening will take place in the theatre of the Arts Centre Washington. You can watch the Arts Centre Washington walkthrough videos before your visit if you would find it helpful: https://sunderlandculture.org.uk/our-venues/arts-centre-washington/venue-walk-through/
