The Ballad of the Crocodile and the Underpass – Summer Songwriting Sessions

Thursday 1st August and Friday 2nd August, 10am-3pm, Free, Ages 11-19

The Ballad of the Crocodile and The Underpass is a new project, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, producing “radio ballad” style podcasts, oral histories, songs and music, unique photographic collages/banners, and a publication to explore life in Washington New Town from 1964 to the present.

Join Young Musicians Project and Right Track at these summer songwriting sessions, where you will work with musicians David Brewis and Paige Temperley to create music, words and songs inspired by Washington’s history. The completed songs will be used in podcasts and performed at events as part of The Ballad of the Crocodile and the Underpass project which is celebrating Washington’s 60 birthday.
