Trout Memo

The author Ian Fleming would often scribble his madcap ideas on bits of scrap paper and hide them between the leaves of a book on Fly Fishing, he called it his “Trout Memo.”
I was fascinated with the surreal title and the concept of compiling a library of fragmentary schemes.

Trout Memo will be a multi-media exhibition consisting of extracts from dream journals, flash fiction, poetry, cartoons, small sculptures, photography and collage.

Exploring inner and outer worlds using childhood memories, humour, bathos and digital mash-up software to create a wall-to-wall zine.

There will be a book launch of Trout Memo: Volume 2: a 300-page full-colour anthology on Friday 13 October 6 – 8pm.
