Washington Heritage Partnership are working with Arts Centre Washington and The National Trust’s Washington Old Hall to deliver an exciting new arts project built around Washington’s multi-layered history. 

Creative writers and historians were asked to submit a new piece of writing that was either a new take on a well-known Washington story or something that sheds light on a lesser-told or hidden history.  

The show case event will feature readings of these works and live music alongside the opening of ‘Gaslit’ a new exhibition by Sunderland Indie in The Granary.
