Bright Lights: Young Artists Collective

Bright Light Collective is a new creative group at Arts Centre Washington for young people aged 13-19 interested in art. The project will create a welcoming collective of young people who enjoy creating art and support each other, whilst developing their artistic skills and use of different techniques. They will work with a artist each week as well as guest artists and sessions as well as opportunities to display their work in our gallery. Tuesdays 7pm-8.30pm

We are looking for an artist to run weekly sessions with the collective. They will be a participatory artist with experience of working with young people and supporting others with their creative journey. We are looking for a visual arts based artist with experience of a range of different techniques. We have some additional budget to pay for one off workshops with guest artists.

Sessions will run term time on Tuesdays 7pm-8.30pm at Arts Centre Washington starting on the 18th of January for 14 weeks. We expect there to be a maximum of 12 young people in the group.

Artist Fee to lead 14 sessions at £100 per session with an additional £400 materials budget.
