Craft Fair Stall Holder Information

Craft Fair Application Form 2019-20

BACKGROUND

Arts Centre Washington holds an Arts and Craft Fair on the first Saturday of every month except January, February and August.  This well-established event is free to the public and has been in practice for over forty years.

COST AND TYPE OF STALL

Craft Fair charges as of 01 September 2019 per calendar month
Stall, standard 6ft table (inc table/electricity)   £21.00
You provide own table                                   £15.50
Extra table space                                            £5.00
Tables must be paid for in advance.

DETAILS OF TRADE

The Craft Fair hours of trade are from 10am- 3:30pm.  Stall Holders are able to set up from 8:30am and are asked not to start packing your stall away until after 3:30pm.

You should be sure that you can satisfy the following criteria before applying for a stall.

All stallholders should have Public and Product Liability Insurance to the value of £5m and certificates should be included with either the application form.  Further information may be obtained from [email protected]

SAFETY REGULATIONS

It is the responsibility of the stallholder to ensure that all items meet safety standards and statutory requirements.

You may only sell the type of craft described on your application form; any changes must be requested in writing to the Manager prior to introduction.

Manufactured goods cannot be sold.  This is monitored stringently.

Arts Centre Washington aims to avoid placing another stall with similar work in the same room; however, there may be circumstances where this is inevitable.

THE APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Artists, designers and craftspeople, may apply for a stall by completing the application form above.  You should then ring Arts Centre Washington on 0191 5613456 to arrange a suitable appointment to view your work, alternatively images of your work may be emailed to [email protected].  Your work will be assessed on quality and uniqueness, design, marketability and presentation.

If you meet these criteria’s you will be informed by letter as to whether you have been successful.  Your stall will then be checked for quality of work and display.  Once you have met the above criteria’s you will become a Stallholder, this means that you will be invited to take a stall at Craft Fairs though a place should never be assumed.  Arts Centre Washington will contact you one-two weeks prior to the craft fair to confirm your attendance.  However, you can contact us at any time to see if a stall is available.
