Creative You is a project for young people ages 11-19 and therefore places will be allocated on this basis.
Event description
Join artist Katie Watson for a free, fun workshop exploring bold, high-contrast markmaking techniques. Rather than working on a traditional white canvas, we will start with black surfaces, using a range of techniques to experiment with fluorescent and high-contrast materials.
Using painting, drawing and weaving, we will explore how colour behaves in unexpected ways, creating striking, high-visibility artwork. This workshop is all about experimenting with different techniques and discovering new ways to make colours stand out.
