Event description

Work with artist Michael Emmott to create ceramic animals using clay and traditional hand building techniques. Michael will guide you in the creation of your animals, teaching you how to sculpt, join and decorate them to create finished pieces.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience of working with clay. Work created will need to be fired in the kiln and collected at a later date.

As this workshop is a full day session, please feel free to bring a packed lunch with you. Food is also available to purchase from Glass Yard Café.

Bright Lights Youth Arts Festival is part of Culture Start, an exciting programme designed to help children and young people in Sunderland take part in free creative and cultural events.
