Event description

It is the year 4040 and a young couple have come on a most unusual date. They are excavating a site full of twenty first century relics. What have the people of Washington left behind? And what do the people of the future think of them?
Digging up Washington is a one act comedy.

It sees a young couple excavating a site full of twenty first century relics. What do they find, how do they interpret them and what happened to their ancestors’ society and culture?

It prompts questions about what our society will leave behind and what future generations will think of us. This extends beyond the physical objects into questions about our beliefs, behaviours and stewardship.

It’s a glance into the future to see what the people of Washington have left behind!

We’re looking for ideas to include in the show. A couple of examples are shown below. But we’re looking for ideas that are specific to Washington.
