Event description

Are yule ready for this!? That’s right, your favourite cult comedy quiz show returns with a stocking-load of new sketches inspired by classic Christmas tunes and a mash up of mixtape favourites from throughout the eras.

Part comedy sketch show and part music quiz, play along in quiz teams to guess the songs and bands/artists that inspire the sketches to be in with the chance of winning the highly coveted Golden Mixtape.

As far from a pub quiz down the local as you can get, we’re bringing you the ultimate festive compilation jam-packed with sketches that are guaranteed to get you head scratching, dancing and belting out the tunes. Get yourselves down for a night at the theatre like no other and get your Christmas party started!

Christmas party fancy dress is highly encouraged.

 

Here’s how it works

The Mixtapers (aka. our song-inspired sketch comedy crew), will have you laughing your socks off as they create bitesize sketches inspired by your favourite songs, Christmas classics and music from throughout the eras.

 

Get lyrical

The sketches are based solely on the lyrics of the songs, so you’ll need to listen closely to guess the tunes.

 

Get quizzical

You play along in teams (or by yourself if you’re feeling adventurous) to identify the song titles and artists/bands that each sketch is based on.

 

Golden Mixtape Glory

The team (or individual) with the most points at the end of the show, will win the highly coveted Golden Mixtape Trophy and ultimate bragging rights!

So, do you know your Slade from your Wizzard? Your Wham from your Mariah Carey and your Little Mix from Billie Eilish? Then this is the show for you!

 

Age Guidance

14+ (adult themes & improvised content). Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Performance atmosphere

Mixtape is a social and lively show where chatting, laughing, and a bit of noise are all part of the fun. While the atmosphere is laid-back, the show itself is lively and energetic, featuring amplified music and bright lights.

 

Unreserved Cabaret-Style Seating

Mixtape Mixmas features cabaret-style seating, with chairs arranged around tables. This creates a social atmosphere perfect for quiz teams to enjoy the show together. Seating is unreserved, unless booking a wheelchair space. So grab your spot on arrival and enjoy the show!
