Event description
Mr Drayton’s Music Docs
Attempting to capture lightning and put it in a bottle is a fools errand, that’s why many music documentaries and concert films are akin to watching paint dry. There are exceptions though. Arts Centre Washington is proud to present two giants of music cinema, both game changers in their own right.
Join Mr Drayton as he hosts two evenings of celluloid marvels with his customary nonsense and barely credible facts about what you’re about to experience. To gild the lily there will be an easy access quiz following the screening with many lamentable prizes.
Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii
Thursday 16 January, 7pm, Pay as you Feel
Pink Floyd, Live at Pompeii from 1972 sees Dave, Roger and lads rocking out with songs from the Syd Barrett era and introducing the more spaced out vibes of Echoes from 1971’s Meddle, a taster of what they were to become. In Pompeii to an invisible audience.
