Event description
Join us at the University of Sunderland’s Media Centre Cinema for a screening of Albert Magnoli’s campy rock musical masterpiece – Purple Rain
The Kid (played by the singular Prince) is a musician on the rise, escaping a tumultuous home life through music. While trying to avoid making the same mistakes as his father, the Kid navigates the club scene and a rocky relationship with a captivating singer, Apollonia. But another musician, Morris, looks to steal the Kid’s spotlight – and his girl.
