Event description

During this one-day course with artist Anna Selway, learn how to make your own stained glass and copper foil plant-inspired forms. You will be provided with two small terracotta pots to proudly display your botanical creations at home. You can make a 2D piece or a more sculptural item, taking inspiration from forms such as cactuses and stemmed flowers – it’s completely up to you.

Please feel free to bring any inspirational images with you. There will be an assortment of templates to choose from, or you can progress to your own design. All materials are provided, and your work will be complete to take home on the day.

The workshop is suitable for all ability levels as designs can be adapted to be as simple or complex as you would like. You will be taught precise glass cutting techniques, preparing the edges, applying copper foil and using solder alongside soldering irons to bring your botanicals to bloom.
