Event description
Join us at Port Independent this January for a screening of Charlotte Wells’ Aftersun.
At a fading vacation resort, 11-year-old Sophie treasures rare time together with her loving and idealistic father, Calum. Twenty years later, Sophie’s tender recollections of their last holiday become a powerful and heartrending portrait of their relationship.
This screening is part of This Woman’s Work – a monthly programme of screenings highlighting world cinema’s greatest female filmmakers.
As part of our season focusing on Contemporary British Debuts, we will also be screening How to Have Sex and Scrapper.
