Event description

Join us at Port Independent this February for a screening of Molly Manning Walker’s How to Have Sex.

Three British teenage girls go on a rites-of-passage holiday, drinking, clubbing and hooking up in what should be the best summer of their lives. As they dance their way across the sun-drenched streets of Malia, they find themselves navigating the complexities of sex, consent and self-discovery.

This screening is part of This Woman’s Work – a monthly programme of screenings highlighting world cinema’s greatest female filmmakers.

As part of our season focusing on Contemporary British Debuts, we will also be screening Aftersun and Scrapper.

Sunderland Film Club is supported by Film Hub North with National Lottery funding on behalf of the BFI Film Audience Network.
