Event description
Join us at Arts Centre Washington this October for a screening of Simon Chamber’s achingly bittersweet study of what it means to live and die – Much Ado About Dying.
Simon is shooting a film in India when his Uncle David calls him with a message of doom: “Come back to London, I think I may be dying.” He returns to find David – a Shakespeare-loving drama queen – has no intention of dying.
When David’s life begins to echo that of his beloved King Lear – an old man going mad and giving his kingdom away – Simon is faced with finding a good ending to the drama that his uncle’s life has become. Much Ado About Dying is a moving ode to an independent spirit who lived life to the fullest up until the last minute.
