Event description

The Tuesday Museum Club is Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens monthly session for home educated families with children aged 5 – 11 years old.

It takes place on the first Tuesday of each month and is a fun way of learning about history, science and art through the Museum collections.

6 January: Victoria Hall Disaster
Using a wide variety of historical sources. piece together what happened in the Victoria Hall 140 years ago. Find out the true story of this important and often misunderstood disaster.

3 February: L.S. Lowry
Find out about the life of LS Lowry, his links to Sunderland and sketch some of his works before creating your own Lowry inspired artwork.
