Event description

Tuesday 7 January 2025: Float my Boat!

In the first Tuesday Museum club of 2025, we’ll explore the boats and ships around the Museum and find out what they are made of and what makes them special.

Then we’ll work on creating our own boats out of different materials… the final test will be to head outside and find out – will it float?!

Please bring warm, waterproof clothing suited to spending time outside in the gardens.

The Tuesday Museum Club is Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens monthly session for home educated families with children aged 5 – 11 years old. It takes place on the first Tuesday of each month and is a fun way of learning about history, science and art through the Museum collections.
