Event description

Join the Mowbray Park Community Garden Team this winter for free drop-in activities. From building shelters and designing bugs to chatting about hedgehogs over home brewed teas there is something for everyone to come and get involved with during our Winter Warmer Wednesdays.

Helping to keep our garden birds fed and healthy is an important job during Winter. Join us in the garden and learn how to make a pinecone bird feeder for our native garden birds to enjoy! Drop-in session from 1pm – 3pm.

Suitable for children from pre-school to 11 years and their families, including home schooled children.

Mowbray Park Community Garden is a just round the corner from Sunderland Museum. Located by the Winter Gardens access the space is through Mowbray Park. Please note there is no access to the garden via Borough Road. Please ask at Museum Reception for directions.

Mowbray Park Community Garden project has transformed an existing space into an interactive, inclusive, and fully accessible community garden, with raised beds, seating, and paving. The garden was created in partnership with the local community and funded by UK Shared Prosperity Fund via Sunderland City Council.
